YOUR CRAFT
YOUR HARD-EARNED KNOWLEDGE
A WHOLE NEW INCOME STREAM
HI, I'M BONNIE!
I thought earning more meant making more. I was wrong.
I began with a sewing machine, a tiny Etsy shop, and a growing stack of handmade apron orders.
I loved creating them, but when I finally did the math, I discovered that my business had a built-in ceiling. Even at full production, I could generate approximately $40,000 in annual sales before expenses (fabric, thread, packaging, shipping, not to mention paying myself.)
Every additional dollar required another apron and another hour of my time.
Years later, after teaching myself how to be a successful surface pattern designer (and answering the same questions again and again), I created my first online class.
During its very first enrollment, 342 students joined, which generated $352,000.
Yup, it changed my life. But the biggest lesson was not the size of the launch.
It was realizing that my creative skill could earn in more than one way.
→ My hands could earn through what I made.
→ My knowledge could earn through what I taught.
→ My heart could create lasting impact for students.
Today, I’m an artist, designer, and educator, and I’ve spent years helping creatives turn hard-earned knowledge into clear, useful learning experiences.
I created this guide to help you look at your own craft differently and uncover the processes, techniques, taste, mistakes, and your own lived experience into something someone else would gladly learn from.
Because of course your craft can earn through what you make.
But it can also earn from sharing what you know.

You were created to create.
You were also created to pass it on.
What you know was never meant to stop with you. When your experience can save someone else time, confusion, or discouragement, passing it on is good stewardship.
There's Room for You
There is a beginner searching for answers right now that you could help!
You do not need formal training.
You do not need to call yourself an artist or an expert.
You do not need to teach your entire craft.
You do not need a giant following or an expensive studio.
You may have learned through YouTube videos, late-night experiments, failed projects, customer orders, craft fairs, and years spent figuring things out the slow way.
→ THAT KNOWLEDGE IS VALUABLE ←
If people ask how you made it, which supplies you use, how you got that finish, where you found the file, or how you made the process easier, you already have something worth teaching.
“I’m creative but I'm not an expert.”
It's ok! You don't need to know everything. You just need to be a few steps ahead of the person you're helping.
"Everything I know is already on YouTube for free.”
Free info is actually a good sign (I'll tell you why in the guide!). Trust me!
“I don’t have a big audience.”
All you need is a small group of the right people who want the result you can help them create.
You Have More Than a Craft
You have decisions you have learned to make, mistakes you can help someone avoid, and a process that could shorten the path for someone behind you.
The Creative's Guide to Teaching Online will help you uncover what you could teach and explore what it could make possible.
